When you lean in its definately comming from those two VTCs, all is quiet below where the crank gear washers are and no signs of wear on the belt itself. May be a little louder with the timing covers off, but i just dont remember hearing them that much before I did the 120k service. The belt is a little forward on the intake and exhaust cam sprokets, but there is clearance between the belt and the lip on the exhaust cam sprokets and it seems pretty straight.
